Franchising

Franchising is now an industry in its own right, acknowledged and endorsed by the main high street banks. Franchising offers a tried and tested business system operated by the franchisor. The franchisor then grants rights by way of a franchise agreement to a franchisee who is Licensed to operate the franchise model within a given territory. In return, the franchisee pays fees for initial training and ongoing support to the franchisor.

Am I suitable?

Experience of the property market could be an advantage, however, an understanding of and commitment to excellent standards of customer service is essential. You must also enjoy travel and meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures. Be prepared to work very hard, follow the systems and have the drive and motivation to establish and develop the Buy the Villa brand in your local area. Your role is to ensure that the business is run professionally and ethically at all times. The only way to really answer the question is to send in a completed questionnaire and come along to meet us and see for yourself.

How does the Franchisor generate income?

Buy the Villa generate their income from an ongoing management fee that is calculated as
a percentage of commissions received from sales. More details will be provided at the first
meeting along with typical returns for franchisees.

 

What is my role in the business?

Franchisees are responsible for the day-to-day management of the business as well as promoting and expanding the service in their territory. This includes dealing with customer enquiries, arranging site visits, etc. There is also an accounts and administration role which you will need to deal with efficiently to ensure that the business is run smoothly and provides you with a good return.
 

Do I get a territory?

Franchisees get a protected area that is clearly defined. We know what size of area is required to make a viable business for you, and we will discuss your territory at an appropriate stage.
 

How much do I need to invest in the business?

The start-up costs for the business are listed in the ‘Initial Investment’ sheet at the back
of the brochure. This lists everything that is provided or that you will need to purchase to
establish a Buy the Villa franchise. Finance for the business is available from the franchise
units of the major clearing banks (subject to status and business plan). As part of the
recruitment process we will provide you with support and advice to prepare a specific
business plan which can be used to raise finance (if required).

 

How much can I earn from my franchise?

We anticipate the returns for franchisees will be very good with franchisees potentially recouping their initial investment within the first year. However, as with any business proposition there can never be any guarantee of success. We have prepared some 'typical' and we believe realistic financial forecasts based upon our own operating experience which we will happily share with you at the first meeting.
 

What do I need to do next?

A brochure can only offer limited information, but if you like what you’ve read so far then please complete the questionnaire at the back of the brochure and send it back to us. We’ll
review it and contact you to arrange an initial meeting. This is the first stage in our recruitment process and carries no obligation.
