Drain Away
The South Coast’s premier plumbing and drainage company Drain Away started out small but grew fast– you could too!
About Us

Jason explains why,
“ My business has done very well and expanded over the last 18 years, my team and I have built a profitable and well recognised service providing emergency drainage and plumbing to businesses and private consumers alike. I am now looking for the right people to help expand our business nationwide. We don’t feel the doom and gloom of the credit crunch as many of our customers purchase because they have an emergency or because they are making an insurance claim and they know they are dealing with professionals.”
Drain Away are looking for individuals with like-minded customer service ethos rather than trained plumbers to help share in their ambitious expansion plans for 2009.
Meet the Team – real people, real team spirit

Debra is Jason’s sister and has been involved in the business for 15 years, taking a more significant role in the last 6 years. She is Company Secretary and has responsibility for finance and personnel issues.
Danny Greenwood – Director / General Manager
Danny joined the company in 2002 as a Plumber and Drainage Engineer. He has worked his way up to the position of General Manager and deals with the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring customers and staff are all kept happy.
Peter Old – Job Coordinator
Peter has been with the company since March 2006 and has taken over the role of job co-ordinator. He is responsible for booking in jobs and for ensuring the engineers attend and customers are kept fully informed.
The Franchise Opportunity – A lucrative business opportunity offering three services in one

Taking into account that the UK spends in excess of £4500m on plumbing products a year this is a very lucrative marketplace to be in.
Drain Away carries out 24 hour, seven days a week emergency service for a variety of customers including, home owners, businesses, schools, local authorities and insurance companies. Often their customers can be distressed as they are experiencing an emergency with their plumbing or drainage so it’s imperative to ensure an excellent service at all times. This has been the key success factor for Drain Away whose attitude is that no job is too big or small and nothing is too much trouble.
The Pilot Franchise Package – ask about the reduced franchise fee offer
Drain Away would like to launch their franchise opportunity to a select few in 2009 as a Pilot project. This would mean each selected Pilot Franchisee would be supported every step along the way – in exchange for their hard work and commitment to excellence. At the forefront of technology, Drain Away are continuously investigating and utilising new technology to provide less disruptive and more cost effective solutions for their customers. Franchisees joining the Pilot Franchise package will be also be able to take advantage of the Drain Away software support including bespoke Client Relationship Management system and accounting package.
Training & Support – The Drain Away way

From the moment an enquiry comes into the customer service centre at HQ, to the point of invoicing, every stage of the customers’ needs and requirements are managed and coordinated between Drain Away and the franchisee to ensure customer satisfaction and support for all concerned.
Drain Away uses a bespoke client relationship management software package to ensure all client details are logged in one central database ready for the franchisee to action. Further along this is then linked to an accounts package for invoicing taking this often time consuming job out of the equation for franchisees.
Owning and operating a Drain Away business will mean 24/7 customer support, employment of staff and the responsibility of running at least two fully fitted mobile support vehicles.
With the additional support of extra head office based staff for those larger jobs, no job is too big or small for the Drain Away Franchisee, opening up a world of opportunity.
Unlike so many other opportunities we do not have to rely upon a good economy to grow, much of our work is a distress purchase or insurance driven response, our clients have a need and we are able to respond.
