Franchise Description
Dyno-Secure has been designed to primarily offer a service for the installation of intruder deterrents and security systems. Providing 24/7 emergency board-up and glazing services will be an integral part of the business as will handling locksmithing work, enabling it to specialise in burglary repair.
In common with all Dyno businesses, it enjoys the unique competitive advantage that the Dyno image provides. Customers are looking for a fast, professional service at an honest price. It is for this reason that Dyno maintains its enviable position as a market leading business.
The Service / Market Opportunity
It is primarily a security service engaged in the installation and servicing of security equipment, particularly intruder alarms. It is involved in the servicing of British Gas’ established portfolio of domestic intruder alarms, and plans to aggressively build on this platform a share of the alarm market under the Dyno brand.Providing an emergency locksmith service will also be a core activity of the business and board up/glazing will also be offered to create a fully resourced security service.
- Installation of security products – burglar alarms, access control systems, CCTV *systems, grilles etc.
- Burglary repair – lock fitting, re-glazing, frame repair
- Emergency re-entry
- Lock changes and fitting
- Security surveys
- Emergency boarding-up and glass replacement
- Replacement of cracked/broken panels of glass
- Application of security window film to lower level glazed panels
- Replacement of sealed window units
- Repair of UPVC door/window frames
Business Organisation
The franchisee will initially undertake most of the alarm servicing, reactive locks and glazing repair work. Once the business becomes involved in the installation of alarms it will be necessary for the franchisee to employ an experienced alarm engineer.
As the business grows and staff are employed to carry out the technical aspects of the work, the franchisee will focus on all aspects of running the business, including staff management, marketing, quality control, customer relations, administration, networking etc.
The licence agreement for Dyno-Secure requires that once a specific turnover is achieved, additional vans are put on the road. Turnover growth will be determined by the franchisee’s commitment to marketing and sales.
Training and Support
Dyno has created a support programme that is designed to enable its franchisees to properly maximise the potential of their business. The demands of running a business are considerable, particularly in the early stages, but the support provided helps to relieve some of the burden and guides franchisees through the application of effective management.Our induction programme acknowledges any lack of prior technical and business ownership experience. The training course will span 6-8 weeks, comprising 8 days at Dyno Head Office, 3 weeks of technical training and a period of over one week spent in the field on practical issues. On completion franchisees will have acquired the technical, administrative and marketing skills that are necessary to effectively run a Dyno-Secure business.
Franchisees will be able to attend further training workshops and business development meetings that Dyno regularly arranges. These provide an excellent opportunity to improve management skills and to share views and experiences with other franchisees.
