Stageability

StageAbility originated from a single class of 12 students in Grays Thurrock in 1992 and has continued to develop further classes throughout the County using trained actors as tutors and administrators.

What is Franchising?

Franchising is only suited to you if you have a desire to run your own business.

A franchise provides you with a tried and tested business system that is backed up by a history of success and the on going support of those who originated the idea.

It allows you to develop your own lucrative business without the stresses and strains associated with new business launches but still gives you the invigoration of being in control of your own destiny

StageAbility particularly suits actors and teachers within the performing arts and can be operated on a part or full time basis to suit personal circumstances.

For the actor it is an ideal opportunity to secure a permanent source of income whether working or not.

It’s a capitalisation of your years of training, your goals and aspirations and an ability to work with young people by putting to good use the skills you’ve acquired as an actor

How does it work?

The concept of franchising stage schools isn’t a new one. Stagecoach, Theatre Train, Helen O' Grady are well know institutions with impressive track records in franchising their business throughout the UK and even abroad.

Each have their own way of doing things. Indeed, as StageAbility have evolved , we have developed our own unique teaching style and a business system to suit actors and teachers with entrepreneurial ambition.

We provide after school classes to youngsters aged five to eighteen years old so they can benefit from all that comes from drama. Building confidence, self esteem, communication skills and an ability to work with others. Teaching youngsters to enjoy drama and pull from it all the fun they can is, in itself,a multi facet education in social and life skills and if, along the way there comes an aspiring young actor who hankers for the stage, then that is an added bonus.

We are in the business of teaching youngsters how to have fun!

So why chose Stageability?

It’s all down to choice. You do have a choice and we wouldn’t consider you a worthy candidate if you didn’t investigate what else was available to you. So, in considering us, be sure to consider others too.

We believe in in our system and we are are proud of it. We have proven its value in our community and have years of experience to back up what’s on offer.

If we were to identify our strengths and propose a refreshing challenge to you as a prospective Franchisee we would define the following key points for your consideration.

We have fifteen years of solid ground floor experience
We have licensed our first franchisee and they are proving our system works
StageAbility is unique and therefore stands out in a crowd allowing us to run schools alongside our major competitors.
For the right people our package is affordable, our training is comprehensive and the opportunity to be the first in many areas of the UK will provide a competitive and exciting edge.

Who are you?

You need to be artistically trained with a strong sense of business.

You need to be able to work with children of all ages and give us an indication of your experience in this field.

You need a desire to succeed without losing track of your chosen career but a dedication to building your own stage school - to meet that you would need to have the stamina for hard work and an attitude that drives you to accomplish goals.

You must have a fun attitude without losing your ability to run a serious business.

You will need some cash to launch your first school and the acumen to plan for growth allowing you to enjoy the benefits of your hard work as well as the ongoing development of your region.

You must want this as much as you want to be an actor and a genuine desire and ability to combine both.

When can you start your new school?

As we run concurrently with school terms we open a new school at the start of a new term. There are three terms each year so once we form a partnership with a new franchisee we’ll sort out which term best suits allowing sufficient time for training and marketing the new school/s. Alternatively you could start your school by running a summer school in the holiday period July to September, again, that is something we can establish with a prospective franchisee.

We suggest a lead time of 3 months is required to ensure full training and marketing is achieved

The next step is in your hands and to find out more, consider our opportunity in finer detail and to arrange a visit to our head office in Essex you need to give us a call.

There’s no obligation and we will provide you with all the information you need to make a well considered decision. Of course we will be asking you to provide us with some information too so that we may do the same.

In he meantime, we look forward to hearing from you.
