Ireland's fastest growing café franchise has arrived in Scotland. Opening an office in Glasgow this year, the streat® has ambitious expansion plans for cafes in every major Scottish city and town.
Introduction
Former Rangers Retail Operations Director and District Manager with Disney, Gerry Carey has partnered with John Belardo, a senior IT project manager to develop the brand country-wide. Carey will front the operation in Scotland and has a major franchise recruitment drive already underway.

Several years on the streat® has become one of Northern Irelands best known café brands. This formidable formula is now being shared with like minded people through franchising. Why we are successful
The food, described as ‘food with thought’ is always fresh and healthy from breakfast to bedtime. Deli style hand crafted sandwiches, salads and wraps, juice and smoothies – food for the whole family throughout the whole day. Contact has already been made with Scottish suppliers to maintain the streat®’s commitment to fresh ingredients.
Having sampled beans from 23 estates the streat have created their own unique blend of coffee providing a distinctive taste. Coffee excellence is a major part of the team training programme. Several of the streat®’s team members have taken part in the UK Barista championships.

We then project manage your café fit-out as a turnkey solution allowing you to focus on your training. We train you, making you experts in the streat® formula. We help train your team up to the same measured and award winning standards that we have used ourselves. We guide you through the process, and encourage you to harness the same passion about training in your business that we have.

What will it cost?
The following is a guide to help you understand what you need to budget for.We have developed good relationships with the main banks and finance companies that will be happy to discuss funding your business. We are happy to introduce franchisees to these contacts at the appropriate time.
Banks will be interested in offering you one of a variety of loan packages, usually secured by equity in your home or other assets you may have. You are likely to be required to invest some cash in the business as part of the funding.
Total Franchise Package £23,500
Additional capital expenditure required for Fit out and other set up costs in the range of £90,000-£150,000
Ongoing Fees:
Management Support Fee 6% of Net Turnover
Marketing Fee 2% of Net Turnover
